Terms and Conditions for AIdea Hub

Welcome to AIdea Hub ("we," "us," or "our"), a website designed to help users think through their ideas and research them using generative artificial intelligence tools. By accessing or using our website (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility and Geographic Restriction

The Service is available only to individuals and entities located in the United States. By using AIdea Hub, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and reside in the United States. We reserve the right to refuse access to the Service to anyone outside the United States or for any reason at our sole discretion.

2. Purpose of the Service

AIdea Hub is a platform that allows users to explore, develop, and research their ideas with the assistance of generative artificial intelligence technologies provided by third-party providers, including Google and Perplexity. The Service is intended for personal and professional ideation and research purposes only.

3. Ownership of Your Ideas

3.1 Your Original Ideas

We do not claim any ownership over the ideas you bring to AIdea Hub. Any ideas, concepts, or content you input into the Service remain yours and belong to you exclusively. We will not steal, reproduce, or use your original ideas for any purpose without your explicit consent.

3.2 Ideas Generated Using the Service

Any ideas, content, or output generated by you through the use of AIdea Hub's generative AI tools (powered by Google and Perplexity) also belong to you. We do not assert any ownership or intellectual property rights over the ideas or content you create using the Service.

3.3 Your Responsibility

While your ideas remain yours, you acknowledge that the Service relies on third-party AI technologies, and we cannot guarantee the uniqueness or originality of AI-generated outputs. You are solely responsible for protecting your ideas (e.g., through patents, trademarks, or copyrights) if you choose to pursue them outside the Service.

4. Use of Generative AI and Third-Party Services

AIdea Hub integrates generative AI technologies from Google and Perplexity to assist you in developing and researching your ideas. Additionally, we use Google Sign-In for user authentication and Firebase, a Google-provided platform, for account management, data storage, and other backend services. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • The AI-generated outputs and Firebase-related services are provided "as is" and may not always be accurate, complete, or suitable for your needs.
  • You will not hold us liable for any errors, omissions, or unintended outcomes resulting from the use of these third-party tools (Google Sign-In, Firebase, Google AI, Perplexity).
  • Your use of Google Sign-In and Firebase is subject to Google's Terms of Service (Google Terms) and Firebase Terms (Firebase Terms), and your use of Perplexity AI is subject to Perplexity's terms, in addition to these Terms.

5. User Conduct

You agree to use the Service responsibly and in compliance with all applicable U.S. laws and regulations. You may not:

  • Use the Service for any illegal, harmful, or fraudulent purpose.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or interfere with the Service or its underlying AI technologies.
  • Upload or input any content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others or is defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Intellectual Property

The AIdea Hub website, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by us and protected by U.S. copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service without our prior written permission.

6.2 License to Use the Service

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal or professional ideation and research purposes, subject to these Terms.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using AIdea Hub, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by U.S. law, AIdea Hub and its affiliates, officers, employees, or agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or opportunities. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed $100.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AIdea Hub and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or losses arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms or if Google terminates our access to Google Sign-In or Firebase services, which are critical to the Service's operation.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Terms on the website or through other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Snohomish, WA.
